Sinsegye and code2design: A Partnership for Pioneering Industrial Design and Brand Development
Ostfildern/Stuttgart, March 2025 – Shenzhen, June 2025: The long-term collaboration between German design studio code2design and Chinese technology company Sinsegye marks a major milestone in international brand development and strategic industrial design.
In March 2025, a delegation from Sinsegye visited the internationally award-winning design studio code2design in Stuttgart. Three months later, Michael Schmidt, founder of code2design, traveled to Sinsegye’s headquarters in Shenzhen, China, for a reciprocal visit. Together with Dr. Jun Ma, founder and CEO of Sinsegye, they continued to refine the company’s future brand strategy in depth.
Where Design Meets Technology – For a Strong Brand
During Sinsegye’s visit to Germany, the discussions centered around brand vision, strategic design, and design philosophy. It became clear how vital a strong and distinctive design language is for technology-driven companies.
The follow-up meeting in Shenzhen focused on deepening these insights. Key topics included future technologies, brand development, industrial design, and innovation strategies. The personal exchange opened new perspectives and creative approaches for Sinsegye’s future.
Michael Schmidt: A Design Icon with Global Impact
Michael Schmidt, founder of code2design, is one of the most influential figures in international industrial design. Before founding code2design, he worked for renowned brands like Mercedes-Benz and DesignworX. He is especially known for his work with Audi, where in 1994 he redesigned the iconic “four rings” logo—a design that endured globally for more than three decades and significantly contributed to Audi’s premium positioning.
Schmidt now brings this profound expertise to the partnership with Sinsegye, aiming to merge technology, innovation, and design into a powerful brand identity.
