„FOCUS OPEN GOLD 2016“ FOR MODULAR LIGHTING SYSTEM AVVENI

Michael Schmidt, the C2D team and Ulrich Sattler received Gold in the category lighting for “Clear design, high flexibility and a refined yet simple joint solution.” According to the jury, the join solution sets this lighting family apart from other solutions in the market. And „… The modular designed design offers the option of further derivatives with identical-clear, but quite sculptural design language,” said the jury.

Michael Schmidt at Falper at the Salone in Milano 2016

Falper showed at this year’s Salone in Milan in a particularly elegant and impressive atmosphere, among other collections Handmade, Shape evo and George. The official mood by Falper has recently been enriched by a new three-dimensional wood paneling in grey exclusive finishes and walls from heat treated larch wood.

Modular lighting system Avveni for Sattler

Sattler will debut the Avveni modular lighting system at the 2016 Light+Building Show, developed in cooperation with Michael Schmidt and Matthias Kordwig of code2design. Avveni can be used either as a single spotlight or as part of a ceiling light structure.

Luxurious alfresco dining at the bbqube table

For grilling, cooking, eating and generally enjoying life outdoors, all year round. Michael Schmidt has designed a weather-resistant set of garden furniture for OCQ consisting of an outdoor table and matching benches. The elegant yet robust furniture complements the bbqube outdoor kitchen, also designed for OCQ. The small company based in Esslingen near Stuttgart, Germany, is specialized in premium quality outdoor kitchens.

iF Design Award 2016 for Sick

iF Design Award 2016 for code2design and Sick: the gas flow measuring device FLOWSIC600-XT will be awarded the iF Design Award 2016. The iF award for the FLOWSIC600-XT continues the success story of the FLOWSIC500 which already won the iF design award in 2014.
